Flydubai, an airline from Dubai, is taking part in the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024 for the very first time. This big airshow is happening from November 13 to November 15 at Sakhir Airbase in Manama, Bahrain. Flydubai is showing how much it values its flights to Bahrain, where it has been flying since 2009.
At the airshow, flydubai is displaying a special Boeing 737-800 plane. This plane has been improved on the inside, making it more comfortable for passengers. In Business Class, the plane has lie-flat seats that let travelers lie down and rest. People who visit the airshow on the first two days can look inside this plane to see the new cabin. Flydubai has been adding these changes to many of its planes to make flying nicer and smoother for everyone.
This upgrade plan for Flydubai’s planes started in 2024 and has already changed 15 Boeing 737-800 planes. Flydubai plans to upgrade two more planes by the end of this year and keep working on the upgrades in 2025. By then, about 20 planes in the flydubai fleet will have the new cabin style.

The improved cabins in Economy Class now have better entertainment options, too. Each seat has a full HD 11.6-inch screen with movies, TV shows, music, and games in English, Arabic, and Russian. This lets passengers have more fun during the flight, whether they are in Economy or Business Class.
Flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, shared how happy he is about Flydubai’s first time at the Bahrain International Airshow. He said, “The Bahrain International Airshow is a big event that shows the progress in air travel in this area. We are excited to be here for the first time, showing our support for Bahrain, which we have been flying to since 2009. This event lets us show our new cabin design and proves how much we care about making flights better for our passengers.”
Bahrain is an important destination for flydubai. Between January and October 2024, flydubai had over 2,800 flights between Dubai and Bahrain. Since flydubai started flying to Bahrain in 2009. it has flown over four million passengers between the two places. Flydubai now has 31 flights each week on this route, showing how popular it is with travelers.
Flydubai now flies to more than 125 destinations in 55 countries, including places in Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Flydubai has also started over 90 new routes that had no direct flights to Dubai before. The airline has a fleet of 88 modern Boeing 737 planes, which helps it connect to more places and bring more people to Dubai.
