Manila: Beloved Filipino music legend Hajji Alejandro has passed away at the age of 70. His family confirmed the heartbreaking news on Tuesday, April 22, sharing that he died after a fight with stage 4 colon cancer.
Hajji, whose real name was Angelito “Hajji” T. Alejandro, was widely known in the 1970s as the “Kilabot ng Kolehiyala”, which means the heartthrob of female college students. He was admired for his smooth voice, charm, and classic stage presence that won the hearts of many fans across generations.
