Filipino conjoined twins Akhizah and Ayeesha Yosoph embarked on a journey of hope as they arrived in Riyadh aboard a Saudi evacuation plane facilitated by the Ministry of Health. Accompanied by their parents, the twins' journey holds the promise of life-changing medical intervention.
Upon landing at King Khalid International Airport, Akhizah and Ayeesha were swiftly transported to the King Abdullah Specialised Children's Hospital (KASCH), a leading medical institution under the Ministry of National Guard. Here, a dedicated medical team is tasked with evaluating the twins' condition to determine the feasibility of a separation surgery, a procedure that could potentially transform their lives.

The initiative to bring the twins to Saudi Arabia for medical assessment and potential treatment stems from the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), and head of the medical team overseeing the case, expressed profound gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their steadfast support. He lauded their commitment to humanitarian efforts, particularly in advancing the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, which stands as a beacon of hope for children in need of complex medical interventions.
Dr. Al Rabeeah underscored the global significance of the program, noting its alignment with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to elevate healthcare services and promote medical excellence on an international scale.
In a poignant expression of gratitude, Akhizah and Ayeesha's parents extended heartfelt appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to them since their arrival in the Kingdom. Their journey, marked by compassion and collaboration, epitomizes the transformative impact of humanitarian initiatives in shaping the lives of those in need.
