Indian Entrepreneur's Tesla Crash Triggers Winery Blaze

Vikram Beri, a millionaire of Indian descent, was apprehended in the U.S. after allegedly attempting to ignite a fire at a renowned winery in California. The incident took place at Garrod Farms Estate Winery & Stables in Saratoga, igniting chaos among staff and guests.

The trouble began when Beri was seen trying to set a fire inside the winery. When confronted by employees, he reportedly hurled a wine bottle at them before hastily retreating to his Tesla to escape. In his frantic attempt to flee, he crashed into two parked cars, worsening the situation.

Per an official announcement on X, during the pursuit, Beri drove his Tesla off an embankment and refused to comply with officers’ commands. Authorities noted that he disregarded multiple directions and remained inside the vehicle. After several failed discussions, police resorted to using pepperball rounds, prompting him to finally exit the car and surrender.

Beri, who resides in Menlo Park, was promptly arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and evading law enforcement. Following his arrest, he underwent a medical evaluation before being booked into county jail.

Well-known in the business realm, Beri is the founder of BetterLYF Wellness, a platform for online mental health support established nearly a decade ago. He also holds the position of Executive Director for Business Development at Fieldking, a global agricultural machinery company. With degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, his extensive experience spans across consulting and business development.

The shocking event has left many, especially those acquainted with Beri’s entrepreneurial success, in disbelief. Investigators are currently delving into the circumstances surrounding the attempted arson and the dangerous vehicle crash.
