Dubai: Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced record-breaking performance for 2025, driven by a surge in global business events and international participation. The results reinforce Dubai’s standing as a leading global hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
DWTC hosted 401 events during the year, marking a 6% increase, while total attendance reached 2.97 million, up 12% year-on-year. Events were held across the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and Dubai Exhibition Centre.
Strong Growth in MICE Sector
DWTC organised 134 MICE events, attracting 2.19 million participants, reflecting an 8% increase. International participation remained strong, with 951,000 global attendees, accounting for 43% of total turnout.
The number of exhibiting companies crossed 63,000, with 78% being international, highlighting Dubai’s growing appeal to global businesses and investors.
Flagship Events Drive Participation
DWTC’s 14 flagship events attracted nearly 630,000 visitors, up 7%. Around 41% of attendees were international.
Major events such as Gulfood Manufacturing and GITEX Global saw strong growth, increasing by 12% and 10%, respectively. The organisation also expanded globally, hosting editions of its events across Europe, Africa and Asia.
Top Industry Sectors in 2025
Several sectors delivered standout performance:
Healthcare & Medical: 436,000 participants (largest share)
Technology (ICT): 341,000 participants, up 21%
Food & Beverage: 280,000 participants
Retail & Consumer Goods: 117,000 participants
Security & Safety: 105,000 participants
Major exhibitions included World Health Expo, Intersec and Arabian Travel Market, reflecting a diverse and industry-focused events calendar.
Expansion of Dubai Exhibition Centre
A key milestone in 2025 was the completion of Phase 1 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) expansion, adding 140,000 sqm of event space. The venue hosted 36 events with 319,000 attendees, strengthening Dubai’s capacity for large-scale international exhibitions.
Conferences and Global Engagement
DWTC hosted 25 conferences, attracting 62,000 participants, including 11 new events. Additionally, 14 international association meetings brought in 29,000 attendees, showcasing Dubai’s ability to attract global professional communities.
Business Ecosystem Growth
DWTC’s broader ecosystem also saw strong growth:
Free Zone: 850 new companies registered
Commercial properties: Up to 97% occupancy
Residential spaces: 96% occupancy
The organisation also introduced new frameworks to support modern businesses and flexible corporate structures.
