The summit aims to gather elite athletes, Olympians, and various sports organizations to discuss their experiences in professional sports, health, and community well-being. The goal is to foster community resilience, promote equality, and enhance inclusion in sports. Additionally, the initiative seeks to support the member federations of the Dubai Sports Council in expanding their communities and providing better opportunities for their fans and participants.
Sean Morris, Co-Founder of the Sport Impact Summit, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to collaborate with Dubai Sports Council as we work together to create a healthier planet and uplift communities. This partnership underscores our shared commitment to leveraging the power of sport to inspire people, improve lives, build sustainable communities, and drive economic development."
This partnership will also showcase the Dubai Sports Council's expertise in using sports as a catalyst for growth. The council has been instrumental in boosting tourism, attracting international sporting events, and contributing to the economic development of Dubai. Furthermore, Dubai’s commitment to making sporting events more sustainable—by implementing renewable energy solutions and effective waste management strategies in stadiums—sets a precedent for a greener future in the sports industry.
Dubai's reputation as a world-class host for events continues to grow, thanks to ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the experience for participants and spectators alike. The collaboration with the Sport Impact Summit is expected to further solidify Dubai's position as a leading sports hub while emphasizing the role of sports in cultivating healthier and more sustainable communities.
Scheduled for December 4-5, 2024, the Sport Impact Summit will feature a range of inspiring keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions, and interactive workshops. These sessions will bring together thought leaders from the realms of sports, business, and sustainability. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and organizations, contributing to the development of a more sustainable future for sports.
As the event approaches, the Sport Impact Summit is set to expand its roster of Impact Champions and Impact Partners. Current collaborators include notable organizations and individuals such as the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Duna Energy Systems, McLaren Racing, SailGP, ATP Tour, Reflo, and professional athletes like Chris Smalling and Olympic sailor Hannah Mills.
