DSF, which began 30 years ago as a modest sales event at just five shopping malls, has evolved into the world’s longest-running retail festival. Today, it stands as Dubai’s biggest and most anticipated annual celebration, showcasing everything that makes the city extraordinary, from world-class events and concerts to immersive experiences, gastronomy, and innovative technology. This year’s festival will be no different, delivering a perfect blend of new experiences and beloved returning traditions, all with an elevated level of excitement to mark the anniversary.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the 321 Festival, which will kick off DSF’s opening weekend in style. Taking place on December 6 and 8, the event will feature a star-studded lineup of performances at the Coca-Cola Arena, including legendary Arab icons Georges Wassouf and Kadim Al Sahir, and a celebration of South Asian music at Coke Studio Live, with artists such as Hasan Raheem and Shae Gill. For the first time, City Walk will also host free entertainment, adding an extra layer of excitement to the opening weekend.
Another exciting new addition to this year’s DSF is the DSF Nights at Dubai Festival City Mall, running from December 6 to January 12. The Festival Bay will come alive with free concerts featuring popular stars like Shamma Hamdan, Diana Haddad, Yara, and Ibrahim Al-Sultan, along with two spectacular IMAGINE shows, “Dubai Kawkab Akhir” and “Ya Salam Ya Dubai.” This will be complemented by daily fireworks displays and pop-up experiences from leading brands.
In a first-ever collaboration, the Al Marmoom desert will be transformed into a magical wonderland during THE UNCOMMON x DSF, running from December 20 to January 12. Visitors can enjoy stunning lighting, guided stargazing, an outdoor cinema, and Oud music nights, making it a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
The beloved Hatta x DSF event will return to Hatta Wadi Hub from December 6 to January 5, offering a tranquil escape for families and friends. The area will feature stunning lighting displays, cozy seating, and live entertainment, complemented by artisanal coffee and weekend fireworks, all in a serene desert setting.
For car enthusiasts, DSF will present the inaugural DSF Auto Season from January 1 to 12, featuring a showcase of cutting-edge vehicles, classic cars, drifting experiences, and exclusive events across various venues, including Dubai Hills Mall and Dubai Autodrome.
Additionally, the popular CanteenX dining pop-up will make its return from December 12 to 31, offering a fresh take on Dubai’s culinary scene. With themed zones such as Sizzle Flavors, Bliss Treats, Matcha Mania, and Kiddie Kingdom, CanteenX promises interactive food experiences, live music, and workshops for a truly immersive experience.
Retail promotions will also take center stage, with over 1,000 global and local brands offering incredible discounts, exclusive deals, and flash sales throughout the 38 days. Shoppers can take advantage of loyalty programs and exciting offers like the DSF Amber Millionaire with Al Tayer Group, the DSF Love Diamond Week with Damas, and the chance to win 1 Million Miles with Emirates Skywards, among others.
One of the biggest draws of DSF is its grand raffles, where daily prizes include cars, cash, and luxury items. For the 30th edition, the DSF Mega Raffle will give away a brand-new Nissan X-Trail or other models, along with AED 100,000 in cash, with a weekly draw offering a chance to win a Nissan Patrol. These raffles will be held across the city, offering everyone an opportunity to win big.
DSF will also feature a series of citywide events, including the 12th edition of Sole DXB, which will take place from December 13 to 15. This contemporary culture festival will bring together global creators, artists, and fans for an immersive experience filled with fashion, music, and interactive activations.
The festival’s entertainment calendar is packed with world-class performances, including concerts by 30 Seconds to Mars, Sherine Abdel Wahab, Ricky Martin, and Lionel Richie. Families can enjoy holiday classics like Aladdin and The Nutcracker, along with a variety of festive shows at venues such as Dubai Opera and Zabeel Theatre. Sports fans can look forward to the Dubai Racing Carnival, the Dubai Marathon, and the Dubai Crown Prince Camel Festival, among others.
For those in search of a winter wonderland experience, Dubai’s streets, malls, and hotels will be adorned with festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere for holiday shoppers. Visitors can explore winter markets, indulge in seasonal dining, and take part in festive activities, all set against the backdrop of Dubai’s beautiful weather.
As always, Dubai’s New Year’s Eve celebrations will be a highlight, with spectacular fireworks, exclusive parties, and glamorous beach galas to ring in 2025. Whether enjoying a rooftop celebration or a family-friendly gathering, the city’s events promise to offer something for everyone as they welcome the new year.
With its 30th-anniversary edition, the Dubai Shopping Festival is set to be an unforgettable experience, bringing together the best of shopping, entertainment, and cultural experiences in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
