Dubai International Airport (DXB) has reached a new record by welcoming 92.3 million passengers in 2024. This makes DXB the busiest airport in the world for international flights, according to the Airports Council International (ACI).

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, shared this achievement on social media. He said that last year, DXB handled 300,000 flights, served 106 airlines, and connected passengers to 272 cities in 107 countries.
Looking to the future, Sheikh Mohammed announced that Dubai Airports plans to invest AED128 billion over the next 10 years to make the airport even better. He called Dubai the “airport of the world” and said the city wants to lead the global aviation industry.
He also spoke about the success of DXB over the past 10 years. The airport has served 770 million passengers and handled 3.3 million flights.
This shows how Dubai is growing as a major center for air travel and planning to improve even more in the future.
