Dubai Launches 3rd Create Apps Championship to Boost Innovation

Dubai is taking another major step forward in its digital transformation journey with the launch of the third edition of the ‘Create Apps Championship’. The initiative, part of the Create Apps in Dubai programme, builds on the success of the first two editions, which drew over 5,800 applications and helped launch more than 55 smart applications.

The championship aims to identify, support, and accelerate the growth of talented innovators, fostering an environment where technology meets creativity. This year’s edition introduces exciting new features and funding opportunities that promise to make it the most impactful yet.

New Highlights and Opportunities

A standout addition is the ‘Longevity App of the Year’ award, recognising applications that improve health, wellness, and lifestyle through innovative digital solutions. This aligns with the UAE’s broader focus on building a sustainable and future-ready society.

The championship also introduces the Alumni Accelerator Programme, designed to help promising teams refine their ideas and bring fully developed applications to market. Participants will gain access to mentorship, training, and a dedicated hub to fast-track their projects.

Competition Categories and Funding

The competition features four main categories:

• Best Youth App

• Most Impactful App

• Most Innovative App

• Longevity App of the Year

Funding packages total over AED 2.5 million, with winners in three categories receiving over AED 550,000 each to develop and launch their apps. The overall ‘App of the Year’ winner, chosen by public vote, will receive AED 1 million to bring their idea to market.
