Dubai Design Week, the Middle East’s premier design festival, is set to celebrate its 10th edition from November 5 to 10, 2024. This milestone event will be held under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and will feature a diverse range of new exhibitions, commissions, and events, showcasing the best in local and global design talent.
The festival will be hosted in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, and supported by Dubai Culture. This year’s edition aims to reflect on the last decade of design, highlighting its role in influencing the UAE and GCC’s booming interior design and furniture markets, which are now collectively valued at $26 billion.
Dubai Design Week 2024 will continue to nurture the region’s creative talent while celebrating the city’s rise as a global design hub. The event will bring together over 500 designers and brands from more than 40 countries. These participants will present their latest design innovations through installations, exhibitions, and immersive experiences, offering a platform for both established and emerging designers.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, underscored the festival’s importance in shaping Dubai’s creative landscape, stating that creative industries play a vital role in driving economic growth and shaping cultural identity. She emphasized that Dubai Design Week has been instrumental in promoting local and international talent while addressing global design themes such as sustainability, diversity, and belonging. The 2024 edition will also see the launch of "Editions," a new initiative that will help shape the future of Dubai’s creative economy.
As the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary, it will also focus on sustainable design practices and regional architecture, offering a platform for global dialogue on how creativity can address modern challenges. Festival Director Natasha Carella expressed her excitement, noting that this year’s program will encourage designers to exchange ideas and explore the positive impact of design on society.
Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts and Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, highlighted the role of design in advancing innovation and opening up new possibilities locally, regionally, and globally. He pointed out that Dubai, as a UNESCO City of Design, is committed to fostering an educational ecosystem that promotes new ideas and creativity. The city’s continued support for Dubai Design Week is part of its effort to strengthen the cultural and creative industries and position itself as a global hub for creativity.
Dubai Design Week 2024 will not only celebrate the city’s achievements in design over the past decade but will also look ahead to the future. The festival’s strategic focus on global design movements and sustainability, along with its dedication to nurturing talent, is set to reinforce Dubai’s status as a major player on the world design stage. As the city continues to grow as a center for creativity, the 2024 edition promises to be a landmark event in shaping its future.
