Dubai CommerCity (DCC), the UAE’s pioneering free zone for digital commerce, has announced a strategic partnership with VTEX, a global enterprise digital commerce platform recognized as a Customer’s Choice® by Gartner for two consecutive years. The collaboration aims to accelerate digital commerce growth across the UAE and the wider GCC, equipping brands, retailers, and startups with advanced commerce technologies, AI-powered solutions, and streamlined access to regional and international markets.

The agreement was formalized by Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity, and Santiago Naranjo, Chief Revenue Officer at VTEX, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

The timing of the partnership is crucial as the UAE’s digital economy, which reached AED 32.3 billion (US$8.8 billion) in 2024, is projected to surpass AED 50.6 billion (US$13.8 billion) by 2029. This aligns with the UAE Digital Economy Strategy, which aims to double the sector’s contribution to GDP, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for technology and innovation.

VTEX Launches Regional Hub at Dubai CommerCity

As part of the partnership, VTEX inaugurated its first Middle East regional hub within Dubai CommerCity. The hub leverages the free zone’s state-of-the-art infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency, speed-to-market, and support digital transformation for businesses of all sizes. This move allows VTEX to extend its enterprise-grade commerce solutions to high-potential brands, SMEs, and startups under specially designed programs that encourage adoption and scalability.

Empowering Local Innovators and SMEs

A key focus of the partnership is empowering Emirati entrepreneurs and SMEs. VTEX and Dubai CommerCity have introduced a regional program designed to nurture innovation-led growth and strengthen the competitiveness of UAE-led businesses in local and international markets.

The program will include immersive masterclasses, interactive webinars, and certified courses covering e-commerce solution architecture, omnichannel operations, composable storefronts, and marketplace strategies. Participants will gain hands-on experience with AI-driven commerce tools and practical insights into scaling businesses efficiently and sustainably.

Data-Driven Insights for Smarter Growth

Dubai CommerCity’s InsightsIQ platform, integrated with VTEX’s global commerce ecosystem, delivers real-time analytics powered by AI. This enables businesses to make informed decisions, optimize operations, and unlock new growth opportunities, promoting measurable contributions to the UAE’s GDP.

With this collaboration, Dubai CommerCity and VTEX are set to create a vibrant digital commerce ecosystem, helping businesses thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape while reinforcing the UAE’s strategic vision for innovation and economic diversification.
