Jerry Boutsiele, who played his first game at home for Dubai Basketball, did a great job. He scored 18 points and got eight rebounds. Davis Bertans also played well, scoring 18 points and getting six rebounds. Their hard work kept the game close until the end, but the team made too many mistakes and turnovers, which caused them to lose.
Coach Jurica Golemac said the team had problems, especially in the third quarter, when they gave up 32 points. He said, "This is not good for our team." He also said, "The 19 turnovers cost us the game. We tried hard in the last quarter, but it wasn’t enough. We are a team, and we need to keep improving."
Cedevita Olimpija's coach, Zvezdan Mitrovic, was happy with his team's effort despite being tired from traveling. He said, "This was our fourth game in one week, traveling from Bulgaria to Lithuania, and now Dubai. I want to thank my players for their hard work and for enjoying the atmosphere in the Coca-Cola Arena."
Davis Bertans from Dubai Basketball said, "Every game teaches us something. We are a new team, and as long as we keep getting better, the season will improve."
Dubai Basketball will next play Mega MIS on January 27 and will be back home to play Borac Mozzart at the Coca-Cola Arena on February 2.
