His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has officially approved the government’s general budget cycle for the fiscal years 2026 to 2028. This decision was announced on November 23, 2025, marking a significant step in Dubai’s financial planning and development strategy.
The approved budget cycle is the largest in Dubai’s history, with a total planned expenditure of 302.7 billion dirhams and estimated revenues of 329.2 billion dirhams. This three-year budget will guide the government’s spending and revenue collection efforts, ensuring that Dubai continues its growth and development across various sectors.
The budget approval covers not only the full three-year period but also specifies the general budget for the year 2026. This financial plan aims to support Dubai’s ongoing projects, public services, and strategic initiatives, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global business and tourism hub.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized the importance of this budget cycle in sustaining Dubai’s economic strength and facilitating the delivery of high-quality services to residents and businesses. The budget will support key areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and technology, reflecting the leadership’s vision for a prosperous and sustainable future.
