According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), aviation adds US$92 billion to the UAE’s GDP, which is 18.2 percent of its total economy. Also, the Middle East’s number of commercial aircraft is expected to grow by 5.1 percent every year for the next 10 years.
Dubai Airshow remains one of the world’s largest and most important events in aviation. It will again bring together global leaders and experts to plan the future of aviation and defence. This is a great chance for professionals to be part of innovation and development.
Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Executive Director of the Military Committee organising the show, said the airshow will show the UAE’s growing leadership in aviation and defence. He said that as the industry changes quickly, the Ministry of Defence wants to support new ideas and build strong military abilities for the future. He added that helping the next generation is very important to keep the UAE ahead globally.
This year, there will be a new type of corporate networking. A special event will be held on the runway, where top people from the global aviation sector will gather at SkyDive Dubai. It will include drone shows, skydiving performances, famous DJs, and luxury hospitality, making it a highlight of the week.
For the first time, Dubai Airshow will also have night-time programming. On the second day, the event will go on until 9 pm. Visitors can see the static aircraft display at night, enjoy evening receptions, and watch drone shows under the stars.
Sustainability will be a big focus this year. The aviation industry is working to use solutions that are better for the environment and more efficient.
VISTA, the popular hub for start-ups in aviation and space, will return. The NextGen Leaders programme and the new Academy will also run to help young talent gain skills and guidance for their future careers.
There will be many experiences designed to improve connections and knowledge sharing. The Aerospace Executive Club will hold discussions among top executives about industry trends and cooperation.
The Dubai Airshow will also have a strong delegation programme. This is hosted by the UAE Ministry of Defence, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and the Government of Dubai. The event app will use AI to help participants network easily.
All these activities show that Dubai Airshow remains the best place for the global aerospace and defence community to meet.
Timothy Hawes, Managing Director of Informa Markets, said that Dubai Airshow always helps aviation and defence move forward. He added that the 2025 edition will be the biggest and most focused on the future, bringing global players together for unique networking and showcasing new technologies.
He also said the show is working to inspire young people and future aviation leaders by giving them knowledge, opportunities, and support for their ideas.
Finally, Skyview will open to the public. It is the only platform of its kind in the UAE. More than 15,000 visitors are expected to come in five days to see live flying displays, enjoy interactive experiences, and be entertained.
