Dubai Airport Braces for Festive Rush with 4.4 Million Travelers from Dec 15-31: Travel Tips and Preparations Unveiled
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a bustling festive season, anticipating a significant influx of travelers between December 15 and December 31. A whopping 4.4 million passengers are expected to pass through the airport during this period, with an average daily traffic of 258,000.
The highlight of the holiday rush is predicted to be on December 22, marking the busiest day for DXB, with an estimated 279,000 passengers. As Dubai solidifies its status as a sought-after winter destination, an upsurge in arrivals is forecasted during the last two weekends of the year. Approximately half a million passengers, primarily point-to-point traffic, are expected from December 22 to 24 and December 29 to 31.
To ensure a seamless travel experience for passengers, Dubai Airport has shared valuable tips and initiatives. Activities are planned across Terminals 1, 2, and 3, including a 3D photo opportunity in a giant snow globe, visits from festive performers distributing chocolates and gifts, and a chance for young travelers to meet Santa and his elves, receiving special presents.
Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at DXB, expressed readiness for the travel peak. He highlighted the collaboration with partners to enhance the festive travel experience, incorporating themed activities to add a touch of wonder for passengers.
