Saleem, who is 53 years old, pushes a colorful cart down the street to sell his *kheer*. He wears a black jacket over his beige shalwar kameez, which is a traditional outfit, to keep warm in the cold weather. He also sings to get people's attention and bring them to his cart.
The people in the market love his singing. He sings a song in Punjabi, saying, "Now you come down to me, my love, don’t wait, my eyes are tired of waiting." Many locals like to stop and listen to him sing.
One local man, Mohammad Yaseen, said, "We feel like Trump has come here to sell *kheer*." Another man, Imran Ashraf, likes to buy *kheer* from Saleem. He even takes pictures with him and tells his friends, “I took a selfie with Trump.”
Saleem is not bothered by all the attention he gets. He is happy that people enjoy his company and his *kheer*. He said, “My face looks like Donald Trump, that’s why people take selfies with me, and I feel good about it.”
He also invited Donald Trump to come to his market. He said, “Trump, you won the election. Come and try my *kheer*, you will really like it.”
People in the market enjoy both Saleem’s sweet *kheer* and his fun personality. He has become a well-known figure because of his look and his happy attitude.
