DMCC Opens 21,000 Sqm Plaza at Uptown Dubai

DMCC has officially opened The Plaza at Uptown Dubai, a 21,000 square metre open-air venue designed to host large-scale corporate and public events. The new space strengthens Uptown Dubai’s position as a leading destination for global trade, business, and community engagement.

The Plaza can accommodate up to 4,000 guests and is built to host conferences, corporate gatherings, concerts, and major public events throughout the year. With advanced staging, lighting, and digital display systems, the venue is designed for smooth event operations and quick turnarounds, making it suitable for both international and local events.

Strategically located at the heart of Uptown Dubai, The Plaza physically connects Uptown Tower with the district’s commercial and residential areas. This design enhances connectivity within the community and supports the district’s masterplan vision.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said the opening of The Plaza marks a major milestone in the development of Uptown Dubai. He highlighted that the venue transforms the district into a place where business, culture, and community experiences come together. Spanning 21,000 square metres and hosting up to 4,000 guests, The Plaza adds scale and capability to position Uptown Dubai as a premier venue for major international events and everyday community activities.

The opening comes as Uptown Dubai enters its next phase of expansion. Two new commercial towers, rising 23 and 17 storeys, are currently under development. Together, they will add 62,000 square metres of Grade A commercial and retail space to the district.

Once fully completed, Uptown Dubai will offer a total gross floor area of 538,000 square metres. Out of this, 232,000 square metres will be dedicated to Grade A commercial office space. The development is designed to support long-term business growth, attract global talent, and strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading hub for trade, innovation, and investment.

With the launch of The Plaza, Uptown Dubai continues to evolve as a dynamic, integrated district that brings together business, lifestyle, and global connectivity in one location.
