Danube Begins Masjid Construction in Dubai Silicon Oasis

Dubai, UAE – February 20 , 2026:

Danube Properties has commenced construction of the Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid in Dubai Silicon Oasis, marking the fifth mosque to be developed under the group’s AED 50 million nationwide pledge to build masjids across the UAE.

The commitment was originally announced in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

Project Details

The new masjid will be constructed on a 121,000-square-foot plot, with a built-up area of approximately 19,000 square feet. Designed to accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers — including 800 men and 200 women — the facility aims to meet the spiritual needs of residents in one of Dubai’s rapidly expanding residential and commercial districts.

In addition to prayer halls, the project will feature parking facilities exceeding the masjid’s maximum capacity, ensuring ease of access and convenience for worshippers and visitors. The development is scheduled for completion later this year.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, and Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, along with senior officials and dignitaries.

Speaking at the event, Badr Buhannad highlighted the importance of integrating social infrastructure within master-planned communities, noting that projects such as this contribute to sustainable urban growth and community wellbeing.

Rizwan Sajan described the masjid as a gesture of gratitude to the UAE and a reflection of the group’s commitment to fostering spaces that promote faith, unity, and community connection. He also acknowledged the support of Dubai Silicon Oasis management in allocating land for the initiative.

With the addition of the Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid, Danube Group has now developed four other masjids across the UAE, each serving as a spiritual and social landmark within its respective community.
