Punjabi music sensation Diljit Dosanjh recently captivated audiences with a high-energy, sold-out concert in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Park. Fans, eager to witness their favorite star in person, flocked to the venue dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, mirroring Dosanjh's iconic all-white outfit and ‘turle wali pagg’ (a turban with a fan-shaped pleat) that has come to be his signature look. The dedication was particularly notable in young fans like 13-year-old Arvin Singh and his 7-year-old brother, Ashvin Singh, whose parents, Sarabjit Kaur and Gurpreet Singh, spent 20 days preparing the outfits. They dressed their sons in the parking lot, having driven down from Dubai for the show.
Breaking from the standard format of an opening act, Dosanjh instead began his performance with a reflective two-minute video. Voiced by the artist himself in Punjabi, the video emphasized the unity of humanity and his belief in the "oneness" of God and life. The peaceful message contrasted with the electrifying opening number, “GOAT,” as Dosanjh appeared on stage in his signature attire, channeling energy into the anthem that immediately drew cheers from the crowd.

Throughout the nearly 2.5-hour concert, Dosanjh delivered a diverse setlist, thrilling fans with songs spanning his career. From early hits like "Veer Vaar" and "5 Taara" to Bollywood favorites such as "Ikk Kudi" and "Naina" and recent successes like "Born to Shine" and "Lemonade," the singer showcased his versatility and charisma. After a brief 30-minute intermission, he returned to the stage in a sleek black Western outfit, re-energized and ready to continue his performance.
Dosanjh kept fans engaged not only with his music but also with his humor and charm. At one point, he humorously addressed the “Illuminati” symbol he occasionally flashes, which some fans have speculated connects him to the secret society. Laughing off the rumors, he joked, “I just do it because I know you all enjoy it. Has anyone actually seen them?”
Adding a personal touch, Dosanjh engaged with the crowd, asking attendees where they had traveled from to attend the concert. While Dubai was a common response, he acknowledged fans who had flown in from as far as India and Pakistan, thanking them warmly for their dedication. The night became even more memorable as Dosanjh gifted items of his attire, including sunglasses, a glove, and a jacket, to some lucky fans in the crowd.
To close the concert, Dosanjh performed the stirring track "Main Hoon Punjab" from the movie *Chamkila*, a song that has become an anthem of Punjabi pride. As he sang, a dazzling fireworks display illuminated the sky above Etihad Park, leaving the audience with an unforgettable visual. Dosanjh’s journey from a small city in Punjab to international fame has positioned him as a cultural ambassador, bringing Punjabi music and heritage to a global stage. As one concertgoer remarked, “That song is now his anthem,” perfectly encapsulating the pride and love he inspires in his fans.
