While answering questions about AI, Lou Qinjian praised DeepSeek’s young team, calling their work "impressive." He said the company is helping AI grow worldwide by using an open-source method. This means they share their technology openly, allowing more people to use and learn from it. He also said that DeepSeek’s success shows China’s smart and creative progress in technology.
DeepSeek has become very popular in China. It recently surprised the world by launching AI models that cost much less than those from big U.S. companies. This has made DeepSeek an important competitor in the AI industry.
However, some countries are not comfortable with DeepSeek’s AI tools. South Korea and Italy have removed DeepSeek’s chatbot from their app stores, saying it could cause privacy problems. But in China, DeepSeek is receiving full support. Local governments and technology companies are using DeepSeek’s AI in their own systems.
DeepSeek’s office is in Hangzhou, and the company is now working on a new AI model. Reports say that DeepSeek is moving fast to launch an improved version after releasing its R1 model in January.
China is working hard to grow its AI industry, and DeepSeek’s success shows that the country is becoming stronger in this field.
