Chelsea's manager Enzo Maresca believes that young England player Cole Palmer can become as important to Chelsea as Mohamed Salah is to Liverpool. Palmer, who is only 22, played very well in Chelsea's 3-1 win against Wolves on Monday. His calm and confident play helped Chelsea end a five-match run without a win.

Maresca said that Palmer is improving in many ways, not just in scoring goals or getting assists. He praised Palmer's leadership, especially in the second half of the Wolves game. "He was asking for the ball whenever the team needed it," said Maresca. "This is the kind of player we need. When a team is having a hard time, we need someone like Palmer to take control and show confidence."
Maresca compared Palmer to Mohamed Salah, who always takes charge for Liverpool during tough times, and Martin Ødegaard, who does the same for Arsenal. "We need a player who will step up and say, 'Give me the ball, I can handle it,'" Maresca explained.
Maresca also said that Palmer’s performance in the second half of the Wolves game was one of the best moments since he became Chelsea's manager. He believes Palmer’s confidence and leadership will be very important for Chelsea as they try to qualify for the Champions League.
Chelsea's next match is against Manchester City, and Maresca is looking for more great performances from Palmer to help the team continue winning.
