Kingdom Holdings, a big Chinese company in the linen business, has shared its plans to build a new linen factory in Egypt. The factory will help meet the growing demand for linen in European and Asian markets. The news was shared on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in a meeting between Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, and people from Kingdom Holdings.

Minister El-Khatib showed Egypt's full support for Kingdom Holdings’ investment and plans to grow in the country. He said that the company will play an important role in growing Egypt's linen business and making the country a major part of the global linen market.
Ren Weiming, Chairman of Kingdom Holdings, said that Egypt is a great place for the new factory. He pointed out Egypt’s strengths, like its experience in making linen and its good location, which make it the perfect choice for the company to expand.
To strengthen their partnership, Ren Weiming invited Minister El-Khatib to visit Kingdom Holdings' headquarters in China. The visit will help them work closer together and find more ways to grow the linen business.
The new factory in Egypt will help grow the country’s linen industry, create jobs, and bring in money from the global market. This will also help Egypt become a stronger part of the worldwide textile business.
