Wes Gordon showed his new Carolina Herrera fashion collection high up in a tall building during New York Fashion Week. The models walked on a runway covered with 3,000 deep red flowers. The background was a big open view of the blue sky and the city, seen through huge windows on the 48th floor. Soft music played in the background, including the famous song "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac.

Gordon, who is 38 years old, took charge of the Carolina Herrera brand when the original designer, Carolina Herrera, retired in 2018. For this fall collection, he created 66 bold and stylish outfits. He mixed different styles, including soft, feminine mini dresses made of tweed and strong, manly suits with trousers and blazers.
The collection also had delicate floral lace outfits and long dresses with fine embroidery. Some dresses were almost see-through, adding a graceful touch. Many of the outfits had gold buttons, earrings, and flower decorations to give them extra beauty.
Gordon’s favorite piece from the collection was the final look of the show. It was a long, dramatic cape with a big flower design, worn over a black sleeveless dress made with shiny fabric.
After the show, Gordon shared his inspiration for this collection. He said he was inspired by his favorite book and movie called *Being There*, which came out in 1979, the same time when Carolina Herrera's brand started. He loved the soft and romantic feeling of that story, and he wanted to bring that same feeling into his designs.
Famous guests like Dove Cameron, Chloe Fineman, Emmy Rossum, and Nicole Scherzinger attended the show. Carolina Herrera herself was there with her family. After seeing the collection, she told Gordon, “It was beautiful.”
