Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has told the club's fans not to lower their expectations, even though the team is having a hard time this season, especially at Old Trafford. United has lost four of their last five home games, but Fernandes says fans should not get used to losing.

On Thursday, Fernandes helped his team by scoring a last-minute goal to give Manchester United a 2-1 win over Rangers, who were missing some key players. This win brings United closer to moving directly into the Europa League last 16. The team has faced struggles recently, and manager Ruben Amorim even called them "the worst" in the club's long history.
Fernandes said, “At this club, you need to win every game. If you don't win, things will be tough. This is a big club used to winning. I hope our fans never get used to losing. I want them to always expect us to win.”
Next week, Manchester United plays Romanian team FCSB, and even a draw could be enough to finish in the top eight of the Europa League. This would mean they wouldn't have to play extra games in the playoff round.
Manager Amorim hopes to qualify directly for the last 16 so the team can spend more time training. However, Fernandes wants more than just qualifying. He is aiming to win the Europa League in Bilbao in May. He said, “It was important to win today because we want to get through in the Europa League. We want to be in the final.”
Fernandes also talked about a win over Southampton where United came from behind to win 3-1 thanks to Amad Diallo’s hat-trick. He praised the team’s fighting spirit but said they need to play well for the full 90 minutes, not just when they’re behind. He said, “We need to be consistent for the whole game. It doesn't matter what the result is, we always need to find a way to win.”
Fernandes believes Manchester United must keep working hard and never give up, showing that they are always striving to be better and to win every match.
