Berengriff United from the UAE continued their impressive journey in the Asian Minifootball Clubs Championship being held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team booked their place in the semifinals after a powerful victory of 4–1 against the home team, Jakarta Rangers, in today’s quarterfinal match. The win came after a challenging start, but Berengriff United showed great confidence and strong character to turn the game around.

The match began with the Jakarta Rangers scoring the first goal, putting pressure on the UAE side. However, Berengriff United did not lose focus. Instead, they responded with energy and determination. The team’s comeback started with a well-taken goal by Ibrahim Adam, who equalised the score and boosted the team’s morale. After that, the players continued to push forward, showing clear teamwork and a winning spirit.

Mehdi Omri then added the second goal, giving Berengriff United the lead. His goal increased the pace of the game and made the team more confident. Soon after, Basem Al-Najjar scored the third goal, strengthening the UAE team’s position and bringing them closer to victory. The final goal was scored by Mohammed Ismail, completing a strong performance and confirming the team’s place in the semifinal round.

The players showed excellent teamwork, smart passing, and calm decision-making throughout the match. Their composure after conceding the first goal was one of the key reasons behind their success. This result reflects how well the team has prepared for the tournament and how motivated they are to reach the final.

With this win, Berengriff United will now face Iran’s Setarijan Simakan in the semifinals tomorrow. This match is expected to be challenging, as both teams have shown strong performances so far. The other semifinal will feature Lebanon’s Al-Ata’a against Indonesia’s Barber United, which also promises an exciting contest.

In another part of the tournament, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority team is preparing for their match against Japan’s “IPG,” where they will compete for the 9th–10th position. The team aims to finish the championship with a positive result and a strong performance.

According to Sarmad Al-Zadjali, the Executive Director of the Minifootball Committee, Berengriff United’s achievement is a major step forward for the UAE in this sport. He explained that reaching the semifinals in their first participation is a sign of the team’s determination and growth. He also highlighted that this success will help develop minifootball further in the UAE, especially as the country prepares to host the first Arab Championship in 2026. This achievement will encourage more players, officials, and teams to take interest in the sport and support its progress locally and regionally.

The performance of Berengriff United in this tournament reflects the growing potential of UAE teams in regional and international competitions. Their journey so far has shown skill, discipline, teamwork, and real fighting spirit. As they move into the semifinal stage, fans and supporters are hopeful that the team will continue their strong form and make it to the final.

With each match, Berengriff United is proving that they are ready to compete with top teams from across Asia. Their success is becoming a proud moment for UAE sports and is expected to inspire young players and create more interest in the future of Asian Championships, both in the UAE and the region.
