Farmers in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan are on a mission to achieve a fruitful potato yield this season following successful planting efforts in extensive agricultural areas. This initiative underscores the significance of potatoes as a vital food source in the nation.
This spring, agricultural workers have cultivated potatoes over roughly 1,600 hectares in Balkan velayat. This region has historically played a crucial role in the overall agricultural productivity of Turkmenistan, particularly with respect to essential crops such as potatoes.
After the planting phase, irrigation practices have commenced across the cultivated lands to facilitate early growth of the plants. Consistent watering is being prioritized to support the healthy development of the young shoots.
Moreover, mineral-rich fertilizers are being introduced to enhance soil fertility and elevate the productivity of the crops. These strategies are designed to secure better yields and superior crop quality.
The agricultural methods being utilized blend traditional practices with contemporary technologies. This strategic combination allows farmers to elevate efficiency while ensuring sustainable production approaches.
Local machine operators from the “Obahyzmat” enterprises are pivotal in executing field tasks, especially in the cultivation of inter-rows. Their work is bolstered by well-prepared materials and equipment sourced from nearby workshops.
Experts are optimistic that the prompt completion of agricultural tasks, adhering to technical standards, promises a favorable season ahead, with hopes for an abundant potato yield.
