In a major step towards enhancing government integration and service efficiency, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai and the Dubai Land Department have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The agreement was formalized by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and His Excellency Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department.

This partnership aims to strengthen institutional collaboration by integrating real estate and residency services into a unified system. The initiative is designed to improve service delivery, ensure sustainability, and enhance flexibility in response to evolving global and regional dynamics.

Key Developments

Under the MoU, three major residency services will be integrated into the GDRFA Dubai system:

  • Golden Residency

  • Retiree Residency

  • Property Residency

This integration will allow customers to access all services through a single platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. It will also enhance data exchange, streamline procedures, and significantly reduce processing time.

Leadership Vision

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri emphasized that the agreement reflects GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to providing customer-centric, integrated services within a flexible government framework. He also highlighted the Dubai Land Department’s advancements in digital transformation, automation, and real estate tokenization as key enablers of this collaboration.

Meanwhile, His Excellency Omar Hamad Bu Shehab described the MoU as a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between government entities. He noted that the partnership will enhance operational efficiency and elevate the overall customer experience in the real estate sector.

Economic Impact

The collaboration aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which focuses on boosting economic growth and global competitiveness. By creating a more integrated service ecosystem, the initiative is expected to:

  • Attract more foreign investment

  • Strengthen economic stability

  • Enhance Dubai’s global appeal as a destination for living and working

Overall, this strategic move reinforces Dubai’s position as a forward-thinking global hub, committed to innovation, efficiency, and high-quality living standards.
