Abu Dhabi Boosts Family Support Services Access Efforts

In a continued effort to strengthen social services and support families, Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development, visited the Family Care Authority service centre in Abu Dhabi.

The visit aimed to review how services are delivered and assess their effectiveness in promoting family stability and improving overall quality of life across the emirate.

Senior officials, including Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri and Salama Al Ameemi, were also present during the visit.

Focus on Accessible and Responsive Services

During the tour, the Chairman was briefed on a wide range of services provided to families. Special attention was given to the customer journey, ensuring services remain accessible, efficient, and responsive to the diverse needs of the community.

He also reviewed the Authority’s advanced case management system, which evaluates individual family situations and delivers tailored support solutions. This approach ensures that each family receives the right assistance to maintain stability and wellbeing.

Reaffirming the UAE leadership’s people-first approach, Al Dhaheri highlighted that strong families are the foundation of a stable and thriving society.

He emphasized that Abu Dhabi continues to invest in social services that not only improve quality of life but also empower individuals and families to actively contribute to national development.

Strengthening Coordination and Preventive Support

The Department of Community Development is actively enhancing service delivery by improving coordination among various entities. A stronger focus is being placed on preventive measures and early intervention, alongside ongoing case management.

These efforts aim to provide timely guidance, counselling, and support, ultimately strengthening community cohesion across the emirate.

The Family Care Authority remains the primary point of contact for social cases in Abu Dhabi. It offers comprehensive family care services, including round-the-clock counselling and assistance through its dedicated hotline (800 444), ensuring help is always available when needed.
