Popular TV actress Avika Gor, who became a household name after her role in Balika Vadhu, has shared the happy news of her engagement to Milind Chandwani. She posted lovely pictures and a sweet message from their private ceremony on her social media, making fans emotional.
Avika and Milind have been in a relationship for almost five years. They met for the first time in Hyderabad back in 2020, through some mutual friends, and slowly their friendship turned into love. In many of her past interviews, Avika joked that she already felt “married to him in her mind” even before Milind felt the same way.
“He asked... I cried... and said YES!”
In her post, Avika wrote with excitement,
"He asked… I smiled, I cried (in that order)... and screamed the easiest YES of my life! I’m full filmy — background score, slow-mo dreams, mascara running and all.”
She also added how they are so different from each other.
“I bring drama, and he handles it calmly. He is the one who carries a first-aid kit, while I live in a movie scene. Still, we fit together like a perfect puzzle. When he proposed, the actress in me took over — hands in the air, eyes full of tears, and brain with zero network. Because real love? It may not be perfect, but it is truly magical.”
Who is Milind Chandwani?
Milind is not from the acting world. He is a well-educated man who studied at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering in Bengaluru. Later, he also went to the famous IIM-Ahmedabad. He started his career at Infosys, one of India’s biggest IT companies. But soon, Milind left the corporate world to follow his heart.
He joined social work and worked with Teach For India and iTeach Schools, where he helped children from poor families get better education. Later, he started his own NGO called Camp Diaries. This group helps kids from underprivileged areas by giving them fun learning and life skills.

You may also remember Milind from MTV Roadies Season 17, where he was in Neha Dhupia’s team. Though he didn’t win, many young people admired him for his honest and calm nature.
Avika's Journey from Balika Vadhu to Movies
Avika Gor is best known for her powerful roles in Indian TV serials like Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka. These shows made her a popular face in every home. Later, she moved on to work in films. She acted in horror and thriller movies like 1920: Horrors of the Heart (2023) and Bloody Ishq (2024). Recently, she was seen in a Telugu crime film called Shanmukha (2025).
Their engagement came just days after another TV star, Hina Khan, announced her marriage to Rocky Jaiswal. It looks like love is in the air for television stars!
Avika and Milind’s story reminds us that love can be simple, funny, emotional, and full of real connection — just like their beautiful engagement post.
