The movie will again follow Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, and his wife Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana. In this part, they will face big trouble.
Movie director James Cameron spoke in a video from New Zealand to a group of theatre owners in Las Vegas. He said the Sully family will face both old and new problems. They will fight not just humans, but also a new group called the Ash People. This group is also from Pandora but is dangerous.
Cameron also sent a short video from the movie. He said it shows a little of the movie's look and deep feelings.
Theatre owners are very excited. The first Avatar movie made the most money ever in cinemas. The second part is the third-biggest movie of all time. Many hope this new movie will help bring more people back to the theatres, as ticket sales have dropped this year in the US and Canada.
Cameron said, “I hope this movie helps cinema owners. We are still trying to recover after the COVID time and online movie watching.”
Zoe Saldana also spoke at the event. She said the movie will also show a new group called the Wind Traders. They are peaceful people who fly in the air and live a traveling life.
The new movie will show big fights, new tribes, and touching family moments. With new stories and beautiful scenes, Avatar: Fire and Ash is ready to be a big movie again. Fans are waiting to go back to the world of Pandora.
