Actors Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana have officially sealed their long-standing relationship with a quiet, traditional wedding after spending more than twenty years together. The couple announced their marriage by sharing serene wedding photographs on social media, offering fans a heartfelt glimpse into their special day.
The newlyweds posted a joint update on Sunday, showcasing moments from their ceremony. Ashlesha chose a graceful pink saree, while Sandeep complemented her in a baby pink kurta-pyjama and jacket. Along with the pictures, they wrote that they had stepped into a new chapter as husband and wife and expressed their gratitude for the blessings they received.
Their wedding took place on 16 November at the Chandrodaya Temple in Vrindavan, with only close family members present. The location held deep emotional significance for the couple, who visited Vrindavan earlier this year and felt a powerful spiritual connection with the Radha Krishna temples. That visit encouraged them to finally formalise their bond after 23 years. Sandeep shared that both families had been eagerly waiting for this moment and that they wished for a simple, meaningful ceremony rooted in tradition.
Ashlesha and Sandeep’s journey began in 2002 on the set of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where she portrayed Teesha Mehta Virani and he played Sahil Virani. Their friendship grew steadily, especially as Ashlesha sometimes stayed at Sandeep’s home due to the distance of her commute. Over time, their connection evolved into a committed partnership, and they have been living together for several years.
Professionally, Ashlesha is currently part of the television drama Jhanak, which features Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja, Riya Sharma, Arjit Taneja, Twinkle Arora and Rajveer Singh. She previously played the role of Barkha in Anupamaa. Sandeep was last seen in Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udann in 2024 and is yet to announce his next project.
