Right from the start, Sabalenka looked very focused. She hit the ball with great power and did not let Keys play her game. The first set was over in just 23 minutes, with Sabalenka winning every single game. Keys, who is ranked number five in the world, could not find a way to stop her.
In the second set, Sabalenka continued to play with full control. She did not give Keys any chance to fight back. Her shots were fast and strong, making it hard for Keys to return the ball. In the end, Sabalenka finished the match easily and showed why she is the world’s top player.
Now, she will play in the final against 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva from Russia. Andreeva defeated last year’s champion, Iga Swiatek, in a tough match. She won with scores of 7-6 (7/1), 1-6, 6-3 to reach her first big final.
After the match, Sabalenka said that she really wanted to win against Keys because of her loss in the Australian Open. She worked hard and played her best tennis. Now, she is ready to fight for the Indian Wells title and prove that she is the strongest player in the tournament.
