Madison Keys, 29, won her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open on Saturday, beating top seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. With this victory, she became the fourth-oldest player to win her first Grand Slam, joining Flavia Pennetta, Ann Jones, and Francesca Schiavone. The win also stopped Sabalenka from winning her third straight title in Melbourne.

Sabalenka made some mistakes early in the match, hitting two double faults in the first game, which allowed Keys to take control. Keys played strong tennis and hit powerful shots, breaking Sabalenka twice to lead 5-1 in the first set. Though Sabalenka managed to break back, she made another mistake with a double fault, giving Keys the chance to win the first set.

In the second set, Sabalenka changed her strategy, playing smarter tennis and winning the set to tie the match. In the final set, both players used their strong serves and powerful shots to stay even until 5-5. But then Keys stepped up her game, hitting great shots to win the last two games and claim her first Grand Slam title.
