The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) has achieved a significant milestone by securing a place among the prestigious Top 500 Universities list in the 2025 QS World University Rankings (QSWUR), landing at the 485th position. This accomplishment propels AURAK to the 6th spot among universities in the UAE, marking a notable rise in its academic standing within the region.

AURAK's inclusion in the QS World University Rankings underscores its unwavering dedication to excellence in higher education. The QS rankings, renowned globally for their rigorous evaluation criteria, assess institutions based on various factors, including academic and employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty member, as well as international faculty and student ratios.

In 2023, AURAK earned the prestigious QS 5 Stars Plus rating, distinguishing itself as the first university in the UAE to attain this esteemed recognition. This accolade highlights AURAK's outstanding performance across key assessment areas such as teaching quality, employability of graduates, academic development, campus facilities, and innovation initiatives.

Dr. David A. Schmidt, President of AURAK, expressed his enthusiasm for the university's elevated ranking, emphasizing its significance on both local and global scales. He noted that AURAK's ascent in the QS World University Rankings is indicative of its growing influence and excellence within an increasingly competitive academic landscape, particularly in a region experiencing rapid educational advancements.
