New Orleans stayed in the game with Zion Williamson scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Trey Murphy III added 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Jordan Poole scored 21 points. Despite their strong effort, the Pelicans could not hold off the Spurs in the closing moments.

The first half was very competitive. San Antonio trailed briefly, with Wembanyama and Luke Kornet each scoring 12 points. Vassell added 11 points. The Pelicans led 58-57 at halftime, with Poole scoring 14 points, Murphy 13 points, and Williamson 12 points and 6 rebounds.
The Spurs improved to 2-0, showing strong teamwork and determination. The Pelicans, now 0-2, played well but need to improve late-game defense. The game highlighted Wembanyama’s talent and San Antonio’s balanced effort.
