Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently made a memorable appearance on the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 17, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The Punjabi superstar delighted fans with his signature charm, performing his hit song Main Hoon Punjab on the show’s set, and sharing a heartwarming interaction with the legendary host.
The appearance was officially shared on Instagram by Team Dosanjh, accompanied by a video capturing the highlight moments. In the clip, Amitabh Bachchan introduced Diljit to the audience as "Punjab da puttar," meaning “Punjab’s son,” and extended a warm welcome, saying, “Punjab de puttar Diljit Dosanjh ka main hardik abhinandan karta hoon” (“I wholeheartedly welcome Punjab’s son Diljit Dosanjh”). In response, Diljit humbly touched Amitabh Bachchan’s feet, a gesture that was met with a friendly hug from the host, making the moment especially touching for fans.
The online response to Diljit’s KBC appearance has been overwhelmingly positive. Earlier, Diljit himself shared insights about the experience on X (formerly Twitter), responding to a fan’s query about his time on the show. He replied, “It's for (Punjab) flood 🙏,” reflecting both his excitement and his connection to his roots.
Apart from television appearances, Diljit Dosanjh has been actively involved in multiple projects. He recently collaborated with actress Sanya Malhotra for their music video Charmer, and joined former Miss World Manushi Chhillar for the track Kufar, a single from his album Aura. Additionally, Diljit will be seen in the upcoming film Border 2 alongside Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, adding to his diverse portfolio of work across music and cinema.
In addition to his entertainment projects, Diljit is currently on a worldwide tour titled AURA. Following successful performances in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, the singer is set to take his concert series to Australia, with shows planned in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. His tour will conclude with a final performance in Auckland and a grand finale in Bangkok on December 7, 2025.
