Airlines Air India and IndiGo have alerted passengers about potential travel disruptions, as persistent dense fog continues to hinder flight operations across various regions in India. They informed that reduced visibility may result in delays or cancellations and advised travelers to stay patient while flights gradually return to normal.

The Air India advisory emphasizes that the airline is diligently tracking weather updates and implementing strategies to minimize the fog's impact on aviation. Recognizing the significance of holiday travel, Air India reassured passengers that dedicated teams are working around the clock to alleviate any inconveniences. Forecasts indicate that dense fog will dominate in Delhi and adjacent areas, potentially affecting flights at major airports such as Delhi, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna, thereby causing delays across the network.

Air India has already activated preventative measures to handle possible disruptions. For those facing delays or cancellations, ground staff will be available at all times for assistance and to arrange alternatives. Passengers on selected flights during this foggy phase will benefit from advance notifications under the airline’s FogCare initiative, allowing them to change flights without additional fees or request a full refund at no extra cost. Additionally, travelers are urged to confirm their flight status on the official website prior to heading to the airport, as passenger safety is the top priority.

Likewise, IndiGo has issued warnings regarding low visibility caused by heavy fog, especially impacting travelers at airports in Chandigarh and Amritsar. A post from the airline on its social media channels addressed ongoing disruptions to flights associated with these locations and advised guests to check for the latest updates on their website or app before beginning their journeys.

IndiGo reassured its customers that its teams are working in close coordination with airport authorities to restore operations as soon as weather conditions improve. The airline promised that boarding would resume once visibility enhances and expressed gratitude to passengers for their understanding amid these fog-induced disruptions.
