Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC) has recently garnered significant acclaim by securing accreditation from The Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) for its extensive cellular therapy program. This recognition positions ADSCC as the premier healthcare institution in the UAE to achieve such a prestigious milestone, further solidifying the nation's status as a leader in cutting-edge medical advancements within the region.
Under the astute leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Yendry Ventura, ADSCC has become the trailblazer in the UAE healthcare landscape, setting unprecedented standards in cellular therapy. The center's achievement marks a significant feat as it joins the ranks of only two facilities in the entire Middle East to meet FACT's stringent criteria, emphasizing its commitment to excellence in advanced cellular therapy.
ADSCC's accreditation is specifically for its adherence to FACT-JACIE International Standards for Hematopoietic Cellular Therapy Product Processing, which encompasses the highest quality standards in medical and laboratory practices for hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation and therapies derived from various hematopoietic tissue sources.

In a landmark move, ADSCC launched its Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant program in 2020, becoming the first comprehensive program in the UAE to offer both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants for adult and pediatric patients. Spearheaded by a team of distinguished hematologists and clinicians, the program provides advanced holistic care for patients with hematological diseases, genetic disorders, and autoimmune conditions.
Since its inception in 2018, ADSCC has achieved remarkable milestones, including manufacturing the first CAR-T Cell Therapy in the UAE. The center's commitment to excellence has also been recognized with prestigious accreditations, such as being designated as a Centre of Excellence in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi in 2023.
Prof. Yendry Ventura expressed his pride in ADSCC's groundbreaking achievement, attributing it to the institution's unwavering dedication to providing unparalleled patient care and cutting-edge cellular therapy services. He emphasized the pivotal role of ADSCC in advancing healthcare innovation in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, aligning with the nation's ambitious healthcare agenda and vision.
Dr. Phyllis Warkentin, FACT's Chief Medical Officer, commended ADSCC on its notable accomplishment, highlighting the center's commitment to quality and dedication to meeting international standards in cellular therapies.
The FACT accreditation program is renowned for its rigorous inspections and objective assessment of evidence, making it the foremost accreditation body for cellular therapy programs worldwide. ADSCC's accreditation underscores its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and excellence in cellular therapy, further establishing its reputation as a global leader in healthcare innovation.
