The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC), the Department of Community Development (DCD), and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) have started a new program called the Active Work Environment Conformity Program. This program aims to encourage employees to stay active and improve their health by bringing fitness and physical activities into the workplace.

The event to announce the program was attended by many important people from different government departments and organizations. They explained that the goal of the program is to create healthy workplaces, improve the happiness of employees, and increase productivity at work.
During the event, they introduced the Active Work Environment label. This label will be given to workplaces that follow the goals of the program and create a healthy environment for their workers. This will show that these companies value the health and well-being of their employees.
The program will start with five government organizations and companies. These include ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), the Department of Government Enablement, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), and the Authority of Social Contribution—Ma'an. These organizations will take part in the program as part of the first testing phase.
The program will look at different areas, such as encouraging employees to exercise, sharing information about health and fitness, offering rewards to employees who stay active, using technology to track employee activity levels, and teaching the importance of movement and exercise in daily life.
Mohamed Helal Al Balooshi, the Executive Director of Community Engagement and Sports at DCD, said, "This program will make workplaces healthier and employees happier by encouraging them to be active. Companies can join this program if they want to."
He also added that the Department of Community Development is working on creating sports and health-related policies to promote a balanced lifestyle for all.
Badr Khamis Al Shemaili, Executive Director at ADQCC, said, "We support this program because it will lead to better health for employees and better workplaces. It is a step toward creating a strong, healthy, and active society."
Suhail Al Arifi, Executive Director at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, also spoke about the program. He said that this new program will help improve both mental and physical health for employees. He is happy to work with other organizations to make this program successful.
The Active Work Environment Conformity Program hopes to create positive changes by encouraging movement, teaching about fitness, and supporting a better way of living for all workers.
