The International Exhibition of Luxury and Antique Carpets, hosted by Heritage Carpets in Abu Dhabi, presents an extraordinary collection of some of the world's rarest and most valuable carpets. Among the prized exhibits is the famed Haris carpet, crafted by the renowned Amu Ogli factories in Mashhad, Iran, and once owned by King Reza himself. This 24-square-meter masterpiece is just one of the highlights in a showcase that includes other esteemed pieces like Shah Pahlavi and The Tree of Columbus.

With a total value exceeding 550 million dirhams, the exhibition boasts 37 museum-worthy carpets, each meticulously preserved and narrating tales of centuries-old craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Visitors can marvel at carpets bearing historical figures like the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, alongside exquisite examples of Islamic geometric designs and handcrafted Persian carpets.

This event, held at Bilsan Hall, Rosewood in Abu Dhabi, offers a rare opportunity for the public to explore over 2,000 handmade Persian carpets, making it one of the largest exhibitions of its kind globally. Beyond being a platform for acquiring luxurious Iranian carpets, the exhibition serves as an educational experience, enlightening attendees on the intricacies of carpet craftsmanship and the significance of different carpet types.

Amir Qambari, General Manager of Al Turath Carpets, emphasizes the importance of educating the public about carpets, aiming to foster appreciation and trust among collectors. With a legacy dating back to 1841, Al Turath Carpets brings a wealth of expertise to the exhibition, drawing on its extensive experience in the Iranian carpet trade.

Furthermore, Qambari highlights Iran's historical significance in carpet making, tracing back to ancient times and exemplified by discoveries like the oldest known carpet found in the Pazyryk cemetery. Through exhibitions like this, organizers aim to not only showcase exquisite carpets but also deepen public understanding and appreciation of this ancient art form.
