Mr. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, the head of Abu Dhabi Customs, welcomed the group led by Major General Ahmed Mohammed Al-Akalik, the head of Jordan Customs. The meeting was also joined by someone from the International Trade Centre. During the meeting, both sides talked about how they can help each other and work together in the future.
The visitors came because the International Trade Centre suggested Abu Dhabi Customs as a great place to learn from. Abu Dhabi has done very well in using computers and smart ideas in customs. Some of the tools they saw included a smart data center and a special system to check risks quickly and correctly.
Mr. Al Mansoori said Abu Dhabi Customs wants to be the best by using smart thinking and strong tools. Ms. Raghad Altalli from the International Trade Centre said that Abu Dhabi was chosen for this visit because of its great success. She said the world is watching Abu Dhabi as a good example. She also thanked Abu Dhabi Customs for sharing their knowledge in a friendly and helpful way.
