Under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, a major housing benefits package worth AED 4.21 billion has been approved for Emirati citizens.
The package was approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. It will benefit 2,652 citizens across the emirate.
The housing package includes multiple benefits:
Housing loans worth AED 2.1 billion for 1,415 citizens
Ready-built housing grants valued at AED 1.82 billion for 914 citizens
Residential land grants worth AED 144 million for 185 citizens
Loan repayment exemptions totaling AED 142 million for 138 senior citizens, retirees with limited income, and families of deceased citizens
This is the first housing package of 2026 and has been announced ahead of Eid al-Fitr. It reflects the UAE leadership’s continued focus on improving living standards, ensuring family stability, and supporting citizens’ wellbeing.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, thanked the leadership for their continued support. He highlighted that the initiative aims to provide high-quality living standards and meet the housing needs of citizens.
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi also stated that the package supports long-term development goals and strengthens social stability. He added that the authority continues to improve its services to help citizens access suitable housing more easily.
With this latest package, the total housing benefits provided by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority have now exceeded AED 181 billion, benefiting more than 132,000 citizens since its establishment.
