The Arabian Days Festival will last for three days and will celebrate the Arabic language, culture, and history. It will bring together people from all over the world, such as artists, writers, and thinkers. This festival will have fun activities for everyone, whether they speak Arabic or not and no matter how old they are.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of ALC, said:
"The Arabian Days Festival shows how much Abu Dhabi values Arabic language and culture. The festival helps artists and thinkers share their work and allows young people to learn about traditions and history."
The festival will have many activities and fun things to see. There will be an art gallery showing modern artwork inspired by the Arabic language and culture. Visitors can also enjoy live music, plays, and theatre performances. There will be a special Arabian Market where visitors can buy traditional goods and handmade crafts. There will also be bonfire storytelling, where visitors can sit by a fire and listen to traditional Arab stories.
For film lovers, there will be Cinema Akil screenings. These will show special modern Arab films that tell unique and creative stories. There will also be daily talks called Icon Talks. These talks will explore interesting topics like How Artificial Intelligence is Changing Arabic Art and Music, Will AI Help or Harm Creativity? and The Future of the Arabic Language with AI. These talks will show how technology affects art, music, and culture.
The festival will also have a special Leaders Forum. This forum will focus on The Future of the Arabic Language in the Age of AI. It will connect with UNESCO’s theme, Arabic Language and AI – Advancing Innovation While Preserving Cultural Heritage. The forum will explore how new technology can affect the Arabic language while still protecting its traditions.
There will also be activities for families and children at the festival. One special event is Children’s Stories and Legends. This will include fun workshops and storytelling sessions to teach children about old traditional Arab stories in a fun way.
This year, there will also be something new called the Arabic Bootcamp. This is a special programme for young people who want to learn about media and television careers. It will give them training and teach them useful skills to prepare them for jobs in TV and media.
The festival will also focus on learning about the history of the Arabic language. Arabic is one of the oldest languages in the world, and visitors will learn about how it has influenced art, history, and culture over time. There will also be exhibitions and discussions about important Arab leaders and their contributions to the world.
The Arabian Days Festival 2024 will have live performances, workshops, markets, storytelling, exhibitions, and many other activities. Visitors will get to experience the beauty of Arabic traditions, history, and culture in exciting and fun ways.
