Indian cricket sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal provided an update on his health after being admitted to Aditya Birla Hospital due to intense stomach pain during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He felt unwell during Mumbai’s game against Rajasthan, leading to a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis. Reports indicate he lost over 2 kg within 48 hours and has been advised to rest for a period of 7-10 days.
Expressing gratitude towards fans, Jaiswal took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, "I want to thank everyone for their incredible support. I'm on the mend, thankful for the excellent medical care, and eager to return to the field soon!"
According to sources, it’s believed that Jaiswal experienced food poisoning after dining at his hotel. His health improved following timely medical interventions, which included ultrasound and CT scans. Doctors have recommended he continue with his medication and ensure adequate rest.
Due to his current health situation, Jaiswal might miss the opening games of the domestic one-day Vijay Hazare Trophy, kicking off on December 24. However, he is anticipated to be fit for India’s upcoming ODIs against New Zealand.
Throughout the SMAT match, Jaiswal struggled with stomach cramps, and his symptoms escalated post-game. With the right care and rest, the promising batter is recovering and remains hopeful to return to cricket shortly.
