Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the support of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will organize the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. WETEX is a major event focused on sustainability, and it is the largest event of its kind in the region. It focuses on energy, water, green development, sustainability, and related fields, and is also one of the biggest exhibitions in the world.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA and the founder and chairman of WETEX, explained that the continued support from the leadership of the UAE has helped WETEX become a leading global event. Since it began, WETEX has played a big part in speeding up the shift to cleaner energy and helping the world move towards net-zero carbon emissions.

Al Tayer said that WETEX highlights the UAE’s leadership in the Middle East and North Africa in using renewable energy technologies to meet the region’s energy needs. It also supports the UAE’s plan to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. The event helps make Dubai a global leader in the green economy and sustainable development.
Every year, WETEX brings together thousands of companies from both the public and private sectors worldwide. It also attracts many local and international government representatives, decision-makers, experts, researchers, and professionals who share ideas and knowledge about the latest technologies. These innovations help create a more sustainable, prosperous, and safe future for everyone.
Last year, WETEX saw 50,598 visitors from all over the world. It had 2,800 exhibitors from 65 countries, and 21 international pavilions were set up. These companies showcased new technologies in energy, water, clean energy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, smart cities, green mobility, health and safety, and sustainability in the oil and gas industry, among other fields.
WETEX also featured special areas like the Green Mobility Zone, which focuses on eco-friendly transportation, and the Future Energy Landscape Forum, which talks about sustainability in the oil and gas sectors. There was also the Health and Safety Hub and a Leadership Roundtable, where top leaders and experts shared their knowledge. The exhibition also included workshops and discussions about the benefits Dubai offers to companies wanting to set up offices or branches in the city.
During the 26th WETEX, over 130 sessions and panel discussions were held. These sessions covered important topics such as innovation, sustainability, clean energy, electric vehicles, water treatment, waste management, climate strategies, environmental issues, and the latest digital technologies.
