In a pivotal session, Vietnam's National Assembly has named To Lam as President, representing the Socialist Republic from 2026 to 2031. This unanimous selection saw all 495 delegates casting their votes in his favor.
Upon taking the oath, President To Lam pledged allegiance to the Constitution and the people of Vietnam. His inaugural address highlighted his dedication to meeting the expectations set by the Party and the public.
Concurrently, the Assembly is moving ahead with the election of the Prime Minister via secret ballot. Discussions are active concerning the government lineup and the appointment of key roles including Vice President and heads of judiciary.
