US-Saudi Nuclear Deal And F-35 Jet Sale Mark Major Strategic Shift

The United States and Saudi Arabia have taken a dramatic step forward in their strategic partnership, signing major agreements on civil nuclear energy and advanced defence cooperation during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s high-profile visit to Washington on Tuesday. The White House announced the developments, calling them a “decades-long investment in shared security and stability.”

The centrepiece of the talks was a joint declaration on civil nuclear energy, paving the way for a multi-billion-dollar collaboration aimed at developing Saudi Arabia’s long-term nuclear capabilities.
