The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has unveiled the 'UAE Labour Market Observatory,' a comprehensive platform designed to provide regular updates and data in both Arabic and English on various competitiveness indicators of the UAE's labor market. This initiative aligns with MoHRE's commitment to transparency and aims to offer accessible information on the realities of the labor market. Shayma Al Awadhi, MoHRE’s Assistant Undersecretary for Communication and International Relations, highlighted the observatory's role in supporting research, benchmarking, and tracking sectoral growth. The platform facilitates electronic and digital services, serving as a reliable source of labor market information for media, international organizations, and stakeholders involved in decision-making.

According to Shayma Al Awadhi, the UAE Labour Market Observatory ensures transparency by providing easily accessible and continuously updated data. It aligns with the ministry's strategic direction to strengthen electronic and digital services, enhance data sharing, and serve as a reliable reference for labor market insights. The platform caters to entities, investors, employers, and other interested parties, offering a comprehensive understanding of the labor market's realities and ongoing developments.

Ayyoub Al Marzouqi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategic Affairs at MoHRE, emphasized the modern, clear, and attractive interface of the website, enhancing user navigation and providing quick access to regularly updated information and data. This inaugural edition of the Labour Market Observatory is expected to evolve over time, incorporating additional detailed data based on stakeholders' needs and aligning with the UAE's data sharing policies.

The MoHRE plans to organize a workshop to introduce the Labour Market Observatory, bringing together various partners and media members. This collaborative effort aims to gather observations, proposals for development, and feedback on statistical data needs to enhance the platform's utility for all stakeholders.

In conclusion, the UAE Labour Market Observatory represents a significant step towards promoting transparency, providing valuable insights into the labor market's dynamics, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The platform's user-friendly interface and commitment to regular updates underscore its importance as a key resource for stakeholders seeking comprehensive information on the UAE's labor market landscape. As the platform evolves, it is poised to become an indispensable tool for researchers, policymakers, and businesses invested in the UAE labor market's growth and competitiveness.
