His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, the President of the Republic of Korea, arrived in the United Arab Emirates today on an official state visit. The visit is an important step in strengthening the ties between the UAE and Korea in areas such as trade, technology, culture, and diplomacy.
As the Korean President’s aircraft entered UAE airspace, it was honored with a military escort. A squadron of UAE jets accompanied the plane to the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi. The squadron leader personally requested President Lee Jae-myung’s permission to escort him, as a formal gesture of respect and welcome. This impressive aerial display highlighted the strong friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Upon landing at the Presidential Flight, President Lee Jae-myung was warmly received by several senior UAE officials. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, headed the honorary delegation welcoming the Korean President. He was accompanied by Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State, who also attended the reception. Additionally, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, was present along with a number of other officials.
The reception was marked by formal protocols, reflecting the importance of the state visit. President Lee Jae-myung’s visit to the UAE is expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, exploring new opportunities for economic collaboration, and promoting cultural exchange.
