The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, spoke on the phone with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack, which took place on April 22, killed 26 people, many of them tourists. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared this information on Saturday.

According to MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, both leaders agreed that terrorism should be rejected in all forms. President Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his full support and sympathy to India for the tragic loss of lives. He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims.

Prime Minister Modi thanked the UAE President for his kind words and support. Both leaders made it clear that terrorism in any form is unacceptable. PM Modi also assured that India would make sure that the people responsible for this attack would be brought to justice.

This terror attack in Pahalgam has shocked the world. It is the deadliest attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama attack in 2019. The Resistance Front (TRF), a group linked to the banned Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack has been strongly condemned by many countries and leaders around the world, showing their support for India in this difficult time.
